Activities: Various upgrades to the ground, first, and second floors commenced, with the following areas requiring extensive changes and refurbishments.
- Demolition of old, installation of new stud walls
- Wall and floor tile installation
- Doc-m pack installation
- New kitchen installation
- Small power and lighting installation
- Adjustments and extensions to existing plumbing to suit new layouts
- Installation of ceiling grid
- HVAC to accommodate changes to the layout
- Decoration
Challenges: When the client revised the brief mid-project, we faced new challenges within the same timeline. By assigning extra workers and holding in-depth discussions between our site manager and the client’s end user, we successfully met the revised requirements and ensured timely access to all necessary areas.
Successes: Our team’s effective communication ensured seamless contractor access, minimizing delays and safety concerns. We kept stakeholders updated with weekly progress reports, completed all necessary FM Team permits, and conducted daily briefings. Each area was signed off promptly, with snags addressed before final completion. The project handover, including the O&M Manual, was well-received, with positive feedback from the End User, Client, FM Team, and H&S Advisors.
